About David Maglio
David Maglio received his B.A. from Fairfield University in 1983 and graduated cum laude from Suffolk University, receiving his J.D.
He was admitted to practice in Rhode Island State Court in 1986 and in Massachusetts State Court in 1987, going on receive his admissions to practice before the United States District Courts for Rhode Island and Massachusetts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1988, and has since tried over 45 jury trials and two major non-jury trials.
David began his career practicing in Boston, Massachusetts with the nationally-known law firm of Morrison, Mahoney. Two years into his employment there, he was asked to re-locate to Providence, Rhode Island – his home state — to assist in the startup of Morrison, Mahoney’s Rhode Island satellite office, acting as its senior partner for four of the eight years at Morrison, Mahoney’s Providence, Rhode Island office.
After ten years in a large firm and with several loyal clients of his own, David joined forces with two business colleagues, Robert M. Duffy, Esq. and Michael F. Sweeney, Esq.
But because he wanted to be more directly involved with each client, and provide more personal service, he started David E. Maglio and Associates, P.C. on August 1, 1998. He brings large-firm experience and small-firm service to each client he serves every day.
For over 36 years, David has dedicated his practice to handling civil litigation matters in Rhode Island and Massachusetts State and Federal courts. His areas of practice include, but are not limited to, business litigation, employment litigation, first and third party insurance defense, plaintiffs’ and defense of medical malpractice claims, and construction litigation.
David Maglio is a Member of the Rhode Island Mediators Association.
