About Darryl Scott

A native Texan, Mr. Scott grew up in La Porte, Texas, and now resides in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston – Central with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology and with a minor in Information Technology. Mr. Scott went on to earn his Doctoral degree from South Texas College of Law- Houston, where he received recognition by competing in mock trial competitions across the country with the highest-ranked advocacy college in the nation.

He has over 20 years of professional IT strategy and transformation experience and is currently registered to file and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Scott is also an Associate Judge with the Houston Municipal Court and an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.

Mr. Scott has extensive trial experience in multiple areas of the law including employment discrimination, personal injury, criminal, and family law matters. His wealth of knowledge in complex contract negotiation and business development enables him to provide consultation to fellow attorneys regarding the use of technology as it applies to changes in the law and your law practice.

After many years of specialized training and practice in intellectual property law, he’s crafted a passion-driven practice utilizing his engineering, technology, and litigation skills to empower and protect the intellectual property rights of his clients. As an esteemed arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, Mr. Scott has the capability to preside over cases involving complex intellectual property law issues.
