About Christopher Smith

Christopher L. Smith is personable, affordable, and focused on building strong client relationships. Christopher focuses his practice on probate and family law cases, but will consider all legal matters. Christopher has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1992 and has represented clients before various courts throughout the State of Texas. Christopher is also admitted to represent clients before the United States District Court Northern District of Texas and the United States District Court Eastern District of Texas.

Christopher was born in Dallas and raised in Garland. Christopher attended and graduated from North Garland High School. After earning his undergraduate degree at University of Texas at Dallas, Christopher went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.

Besides practicing law, Christopher has been involved in film making. He is a partner in a Dallas production company, Deep Ellum Pictures, which has produced many commercials and worked on motion picture projects. Deep Ellum Pictures produced TV Junkie, an award winning documentary about the life of Richard Kirkham, a film maker and investigative reporter featured in the recent Netflix documentary, Tiger King. Christopher served as legal counsel and executive producer for TV Junkie, which won a jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival, aired on HBO and Netflix, and can be rented on several streaming sites.
