About Chris Stewart
Chris Stewart is a native Arkansan, born and raised in Brinkley, Arkansas. He began his law practice in Arkansas in a firm practicing insurance defense litigation. Now in private practice, his firm focuses primarily on business and patent litigation, commercial real estate, settlement transfers, and government relations. Chris has been in law practice for nearly 20 years.
Chris is a licensed attorney in both Arkansas state and federal courts, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Chris has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2011 – 2017. In 2014, Chris received the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Attorney Reader’s Choice Award. In 2015, Chris was chosen as a 40 under 40 Most Influential Political Consultant by the American Association of Political Consultants. From 2007 to 2012 Chris served as legal counsel for the Republican Party of Arkansas. In 2013, Chris was named a Cystic Fibrosis Young Professional Honoree. In 2012, Chris was a candidate for public office. In 2006, Chris was the political director for Gov. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas.
Chris has been an adjunct professor at John Brown University teaching business law, human resource management, and business ethics. Additionally, Chris has been an I-Fund mentor instructor at the Sam Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas. Currently, Chris serves as a part-time Public Defender in Pulaski County to aid with the backlog of cases as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Chris serves on the Board of Advisors for Liberty University’s School of Business and on the Alumni Board of Directors for Regent University School of Law. Chris owns a political finance software company. Chris is a frequent speaker on digital politics, payment processing, and mobile payment trends. Chris is a proud volunteer Little League baseball coach at Junior Deputy Baseball in Little Rock, AR. Chris is married to Julie and they have three children, Kennedy(12), Jack(10), and Charlotte(9). He is an avid outdoorsman and mountaineer.

Chris represents two of the largest commercial real estate companies in Little Rock. These matters include real estate contracts, lease agreements, easements, zoning, and real estate and lease litigation. Additionally, Chris has handled numerous construction law cases and trials.
Most of Chris’ time is spent right here…business litigation. Chris has no fear and usually matters must be litigated. Chris’ clients are in the business to make money and keep the money they make. Unfortunately, sometimes business owners aren’t paid, shipments are held up or a contract has been breached. That’s where Chris can help. Chris has experience in both federal and state court.
Many clients would say this area of practice is Chris’ bread and butter. Several of Chris’ business clients are manufactures and distributors and have their own patents. In fact, one of Chris’ clients holds more patents than any other person in Arkansas. Chris has litigated patent infringement cases in California, Texas, Florida and Hong Kong. Chris has secured millions of dollars in infringement damages for his clients. Chris has extensive intellectual property experience in the personal protection and firearm industry.
Some people in Arkansas have installment annuity contracts from previous settlements, jury awards or winning the lottery. If Arkansans want to sell some of these future payments a petition must be filed in court along with a hearing. This is where Chris comes in…Chris has represented numerous settlement transfer companies in the state of Arkansas. He will travel anywhere in the state and he only charges one low-flat rate. Chris has never had a petition denied. Chris has this practice down to an art.
He personally handles these cases and the hearings with speed and efficiency.
Although Business Law is Chris’ main focus and specialty he sometimes must represent clients who have been charged with breaking the law. Chris loves this area of practice and vigorously defends his clients. Chris has handled hundreds of criminal cases in state and federal courts. Currently, Chris serves as a part-time public defender in Pulaski County to aid with the backlog of criminal cases as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic.
