About Bruce Albert

Bruce H. Albert is the firm’s Managing Partner in the Los Angeles area office. Having branched off on his own in 2000, he later formed Albert and Mackenzie in 2003.  His extensive expertise includes the defense of workers’ compensation claims, including appellate work before the California Supreme Court. Bruce also handles civil claims, including, but not limited to, the defense of discrimination claims under Labor Code section 132a and Serious and Willful Misconduct claims under Labor Code section 4553. He was lead defense counsel on Escobedo vs. WCAB regarding apportionment. In addition to this, Bruce has lectured at IEA classes throughout Southern California and provides seminars for employers and Claims Professionals on a regular basis.

As Managing Partner, Bruce is focused on ensuring that all attorney work product meets the firm’s high standards. He is unforgiving in his mission to develop and encourage efficient policies and procedures at all levels of the firm. Bruce is passionate when it comes to ensuring that the firm’s talent for negotiation and sharp focus on customer service result in extraordinary client satisfaction.

Bruce was admitted to the California Bar in 1990. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1986.  He attended Southwestern University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1990. He is a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation law.

Bruce is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is a member of the California State Bar, as well as a member of the United States District Court for the Central and Southern California Districts.
