About Brooke Trent

Brooke Trent is the founding member of Trent Law Firm, PLLC and has been practicing law in the Cedar Valley since 2007. She also enjoys assisting clients and other professionals by providing seminars and classes for organizations such as Iowa Credit Union League, Iowa Land Title Association, Iowa State Bar Association, and National Business Institute. While practicing law, Brooke has also enjoyed working as an adjunct professor during various semesters at University of Northern Iowa, Hawkeye Community College, and for Upper Iowa University’s MBA Program.

Brooke is actively involved in professional and community organizations. Brooke has previously served elected terms to the Iowa Judicial Branch’s Judicial Nominating Committee and to the Iowa State Bar Association’s Real Estate Title Standards Committee. She completed a three-year term as a mayoral appointment on the Community Development Board for the City of Waterloo. Brooke served as an alumni member of Wartburg College’s Leadership Certificate National Advisory Board and as the chairperson for Cedar Valley’s Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa where she was honored as 2008 Volunteer of the Year. In 2016, Brooke was awarded the “20 under 40” Award by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier for her community activism and professional dedication. In 2019, Brooke was one of four recipients of the Young Alumni Award from her alma mater Wartburg College. Brooke has also served on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa and has previously been an active volunteer with her church and with Job Foundation. She is one of the co-founders and serves as a volunteer for Triumphant Living, a nonprofit that provides substitute decision-making services for seniors or other dependent adults who do not have a loved one to assist with medical or financial decisions. In 2023, Brooke was honored by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier’s “Best of the Best” competition as runner-up for “Best Boss” across all industries in the Cedar Valley.
