About Brian Kiolbasa

Brian Kiolbasa is a litigator specializing in all aspects of commercial, banking, and real estate litigation. In addition, Brian has experience in employment litigation, ERISA-governed employee benefit claims, insurance disputes, and transportation matters. He works closely with clients to develop business-minded litigation strategies and to address emerging legal issues.  

In addition to regularly appearing in the state, federal, and bankruptcy courts in Oregon, Brian has drafted winning appellate briefs in both the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His skills have been recognized by “Super Lawyers”, who named Brian an “Oregon Rising Star” since 2013, an honor bestowed on just 2.5 percent of eligible applicants under the age of 40. More recently, Brian was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© since 2020.

Prior to joining Lane Powell, Brian spent three years working as a litigation associate in Chicago. Before attending law school, he worked as a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 corporation in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
