About Arthur Zitsow

Mr. Zitsow is an Attorney in the Los Angeles office of La Follette Johnson. Born in Canada, Mr. Zitsow is multi-lingual, speaking English, Spanish and French. He received his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Western Ontario in 1991 and his Master of Business Administration from York University in Toronto, Canada in 1994, specializing in International Studies, Spanish and Marketing. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in 1996, during which he earned the prestigious Am Jur Bancroft-Whitney Award in Constitutional Law.

Mr. Zitsow defends hospitals, physicians and related healthcare providers in complex medical malpractice litigation. Additionally, Mr. Zitsow interprets contracts between hospitals and their vendors, subsidiaries or independent contractors and handles general liability matters for various hospitals, including slip and fall actions, bicycle/parking lot accidents, equipment and furniture failures, and other non-medically related general liability claims. In addition, Mr. Zitsow’s practice involves representing hospital districts and other public institutions. He has authored numerous Writs of Mandamus, Writs of Prohibition and Respondent’s Briefs and has argued before the Court of Appeal. Mr. Zitsow obtained a defense verdict in a bench trial on Good Samaritan Immunity and has acted as second-chair for two jury trials, obtaining separate defense verdicts for a physician.

Mr. Zitsow is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Southern California Association of Health Risk Management.
