About Arthur Mann
Mr. Mann is a life-long New Orleanian. He graduated from Loyola University with a BBA in Accounting in 1968. He also attended law school at Loyola University and in 1971 received his Juris Doctorate.
Mr. Mann has focused his efforts under the general heading of business law with particular emphasis in the fields of creditors’ rights, foreclosure law, and commercial litigation. He has also developed a significant portion of his practice in the areas of commercial loan transactions, asset-based lending negotiation and documentation, and creditors’ rights in bankruptcy court proceedings throughout Louisiana. Other areas of his practice include corporate formation and governance; mergers, acquisitions and sales; and wills and estate administration.
His clients include national leaders in the fields of commercial and consumer-based secured finance transactions, having served as state-wide counsel for such organizations in the areas of asset-based lending, floor plan financing and motor vehicle dealership acquisition and financing. Working with national clients, he has drafted Louisiana-specific revisions to consumer and commercial credit contracts in use today.
Over the years he has served as a lecturer in the areas of creditors rights, consumer lending, and asset-based lending for businesses.
Mr. Mann serves as a member of the President’s Advisory Council of Jesuit High School and served as its Chairman in 1994-1995. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Jesuit High School since 1991 and served as Board Chairman in 1995-1999 and from 2003 to the present. He was named Jesuit Alumnus of the Year for 2005. Since 1998 he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Dominican High School. He is a member of the Southern Yacht Club where he served as a member of the Governing Committee from 1993 through 2000 and served as Commodore in 1998-1999. He has been a member of the President’s Council of Loyola University upon which he served as it’s Chairman in 1997 through 1998.
