About Arthur Dumas

Arthur H. Dumas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University in 1972. An ROTC scholarship recipient, he was granted a three-year deferment to go to law school. He graduated from New England School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 1975 and then entered the army. He graduated from Armor Basic Course at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Airborne School at Ft. Benning, Georgia and the JAG Basic Course at the University of Virginia. He then spent three years as a prosecutor and a defense counselor in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Office at Ft. Benning. While at Ft. Benning, he defended several high profile criminal cases. He completed his four year active duty military obligation in 1979, and continued serving as an IMA JAG Reserve Officer until his retirement from the military.

Art has actively practiced law in Maine since 1979, and started his own practice in 1982. He currently concentrates on personal injury cases such as vehicle collisions, social security disability, workers’ compensation, real estate and probate, to include probate litigation.. He is married to Celina Camire Dumas and has two children, John Lee Dumas and Marce Lamontagne.
