About Anshu Karki

Anshu started her firm to provide clients with the best legal representation while providing personalized, client-centered service – something she found lacking in the legal industry. An immigrant herself, she is focused on getting results for her clients and making sure she is at your side every step of the way as your immigration lawyer. She uses her experience and legal knowledge to be a fierce advocate for her clients. Along with successfully managing her firm, Anshu devotes considerable time and effort to pro bono service. She has provided pro bono service through the Immigration Justice Campaign and Catholic Charities.

Her leadership positions include serving on the section council of the Immigration Law Section and the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) section of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA). She is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)- the official organization of immigration lawyers in America. Her dedication to clients has earned her the title of Super Lawyer, and Rising Star in MD and DC- an honor she was selected for by her peers, and given only to 2.5% of attorneys in any state.

Anshu, a former international student from Nepal, has put down her roots in Maryland and lives in Montgomery County with her family. She attended school at La Martiniere Girls’ College, in Lucknow, India before finishing her education in the US. Having spent major portions of her life in different countries, she truly understands what starting over in a new environment feels like.
