In my first year of practice, I received a piece of advice that has stayed with me ever since. A colleague advised me not to “dabble” in family law; that people who are facing potentially the worst event of their life deserve the full attention and care of an attorney who will help them navigate the process.

My name is Angela Oaks. I practice family law exclusively, and I work to make the worst event of your life a little better through thoughtful legal care here at The Oaks Law Firm.

Family law matters are stressful and overwhelming for everyone. Whether you know it’s the right step for you, or you are still unsure about what steps to take, I strive to be a listening ear, offering the advice I have learned from years of practice. In performing family law services for my clients, I am:

Accessible. I work to be reachable to my existing clients and I return all calls, emails, and texts within 24 hours.

Affordable. I believe that everyone should have affordable representation within their reach. I keep my rates affordable and I offer flexible payment plans, and if I am unable to help you, I will point you to alternative resources.

Compassionate. I have helped countless clients through family law matters, and I have been through divorce myself; I am sympathetic to the issues you’re facing and I will work to make the process go as smoothly as possible.

Knowledgeable. Because I focus exclusively on family law, I am comfortable handling nearly any issue that may arise in your case. This is an advantage to my clients because family law issues are often entwined with each other, and you need an attorney who can handle your case no matter what it entails, and will stick with you until your case resolves.
