About Andrew Weinstock
Andrew “Andy” is originally from New York where his
father was a lawyer. His two older brothers are lawyers
in Texas. He always knew he wanted to be a lawyer who
tries cases. Little did he know, he would end up staying
in New Orleans after marrying one of his classmates
who was from here. Andrew graduated with a Bachelors
of Arts in History from the University of New York at
Albany. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate with
honors from Tulane University Law School in 1987.
While at Tulane, Andrew acted as a Maritime Lawyer.
Specializing in Toxic Tort, Products Liability, and
Personal Injury cases, Andrew has tried a large number
of cases with a high success rate. He has represented
insurance companies and self-insured companies
for 27 years. In Re FEMA Formaldehyde, he was the
defense liaison counsel and lead trial lawyer for the
target defendant, Gulf Stream. Andrew has been named
one of the Top Lawyers according to New Orleans
Magazine. He also has a Martindale Hubble AV rating
of 4.9 on a 5.0 scale. In his spare time, Andrew has
coached recreational and travel league baseball and
softball for the past 17 years. It is something he truly
loves. Nothing makes his day more than a former player
stopping to say, “Hey Coach” and bring him up to date
on their life since he coached them.
