About Andrew Head

C. Andrew “Andy” Head is the owner and founder of Head Law Firm, LLC, practicing out of the firm’s Chicago office. His employment law practice spans over two decades, beginning when he represented corporations and employers as an associate then partner at the international law firm Holland & Knight, LLP, and now exclusively representing employees at the eponymous firm he founded in 2015. He is nationally known for his specialized expertise representing employees in overtime and unpaid wage class and collective action lawsuits under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage laws, serving as lead counsel, certified class counsel, and/or certified collective action counsel in various federal district courts around the country where he is directly admitted or by application for admission pro hac vice.

Mr. Head is a frequent faculty speaker and author for continuing legal education seminars by national organizations including the American Bar Association, Practising Law Institute, and the National Employment Lawyers Association, presenting on overtime case litigation, employee leave, and other various employment law topics. Mr. Head serves as a Chapter Editor for the Fair Labor Standards Act treatise published by the American Bar Association (“ABA”) and BNA Books, a Chapter Editor for the Georgia chapter the Georgia chapter of Wage and Hour Laws: A State-by-State Survey, published by the ABA and BNA Books, and as the FMLA Subcommittee Co-Chair for the ABA’s Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee. He has been honored with selection by his peers to Super Lawyers every year from 2006 through 2019 and to Georgia’s Legal Elite almost every year since 2007.
