About Andrew Alder

Andrew Alder focuses his practice in healthcare law, representing medical providers in medical malpractice lawsuits, licensure board disciplinary matters, billing audits and investigations and Section 1983 civil rights actions under the Eighth Amendment. He also has extensive civil litigation experience in a variety of areas, including employment, local government and municipality law, commercial litigation, personal injury and insurance litigation.

Mr. Alder is a member of the Idaho and Virginia State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in those states. He is also admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to moving his practice to Idaho and joining Parsons Behle & Latimer, Mr. Alder practiced for more than four years at an insurance defense law firm in Virginia. There, he regularly appeared in state and federal courts throughout Virginia and D.C. metropolitan area and tried many cases before judges and juries.

During law school, Mr. Alder served as the Production Editor of the George Mason Law Review and was selected as a Writing Fellow to teach the legal research and writing course to a section of first-year students. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judges of the 17th Judicial Circuit of Virginia in Arlington, Virginia
