Allan Potter attended the University of Texas at Austin and his Bachelor of Arts is from Baylor University, 1969. His Juris Doctorate is from Baylor Law School in 1971. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and in the United States Courts of Appeal for the 5th, 6th and 11th Circuits. He is admitted to the United States District Court, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. He served as a Law Clerk for the 13th Court of Civil Appeals of Texas at Corpus Christi (1971-72). He has served on the private panel of Bankruptcy Trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (1971-1990). Honorary scholastic fraternities include Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Epsilon Delta. He has served as past president of the Corpus Christi Bankruptcy Association and directory of the Corpus Christi Bar Association. He is a member of the National Business Air Association, Legal Panel of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
