I Am Attorney Alf Langan. I’ve Had The Privilege Of Representing Almost 2,000 Clients In Northeastern Wisconsin Since Opening My Practice In 1991.
My Office Is In Allouez (Green Bay), In Brown County, But I Have Represented Clients All Over Wisconsin, In Many Counties, Including Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Door, Oconto, Shawano, Marinette, Waushara And Milwaukee Counties. I Am Also Licensed To Practice In The Eastern District Of Wisconsin Federal District Court And The United States Tax Court.
I Received My B.A. (Double Major–English Lit & Political Science) From Northwestern University.
I Received My J.D. From Saint Louis University School Of Law.
I Work Hard To Help My Clients Realize The Goals Of Their Particular Situation. Along The Way, Many Of My Clients Have Become Friends, Which Is A Natural Outcome Of The Emphasis I Put On Building A Solid Relationship With Them.
I Believe In Giving Back To The Community That Has Given So Much To Me And My Family. I Have Proudly Served On The Boards Of The Family Violence Center, My Church And The Bay Area Humane Society. I Was Also A Coach For Green Bay East High School’s Champion Mock Trial Team.

I have represented hundreds of individuals and couples involved in various family related matters, including divorce, child custody matters, child support disputes, adoption, guardianships, grandparents’ rights matters, and Children in Need of Protection or Services (CHIPS) issues. I have been on both sides of just about every issue, and I know what the law demands and what the judges expect. I work hard to help my clients protect their families and where necessary reconfigure their lives so that they can move on toward their own happiness.
I have represented several hundred clients charged with all types of crimes, ranging from attempted first degree reckless homicide to disorderly conduct, including sexual assault, possession of child pornography, assault with a deadly weapon, drunk driving (OWI), burglary, manufacture and sale of drugs, possession of narcotics, forgery, burglary, assault, battery, and virtually every other kind of crime with which one can be charged. I’ve taken several cases to trial, and have a winning record with juries. I have successfully won dismissals of even more cases via motion practice, where I challenged the tactics of the police. I aggressively and compassionately represent my clients who face serious repercussions from being charged with crimes, and do all that I can to get them the best result possible for them.

My plans cover everything, including showing you how to protect your children immediately if you die while your kids are young and protecting your assets by keeping them out of the long, costly, and public probate process. Signing your documents is only the beginning of our relationship, because I review your plan regularly to ensure that it continues to apply to your ever-changing life circumstances.
I’ve worked with dozens of taxpayers who find themselves in trouble with IRS or the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. I gather all the facts and information, then, depending on the circumstances, negotiate settlements or reasonable payment plans while keeping the taxing authorities away from my clients and their assets.
