About Alastair McNish
Al maintains a general litigation practice. His commercial litigation practice includes contractual disputes, economic torts, and shareholder disputes. He also acts for employers and employees with respect to wrongful dismissal claims and other employment matters. Al has experience at the Superior Court, Divisional Court and Court of Appeal, and has also appeared before arbitration panels and administrative and regulatory tribunals.
Prior to joining Chitiz Pathak LLP, Al practiced in the litigation department at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, where he focused on commercial litigation, professional liability and international trade matters.
Al received a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and Master of Industrial Relations degree from Queen’s University, where he was an Academic All-Canadian with the Golden Gaels football team. Al obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2005, graduating in the International Law stream. He was called to the Bar in 2006.
