About Abra Conitz

Ms. Conitz attended Seattle University School of Law because of its focus on social justice and legal writing. During her time at Seattle University, Ms. Conitz exceled in her legal writing courses and served as a research assistant for three professors, helping edit books and articles. Ms. Conitz focused her coursework and externships during law school on family law, tribal law and social justice issues.

Throughout law school, Ms. Conitz worked for Disability Rights Washington (DRW), a non-profit organization focusing on helping individuals with disabilities become successful self-advocates, as a Technical Advocate. While at DRW, she worked on issues surrounding special education, especially improper discipline and educating students on their legal rights regarding education.

Additionally, Ms. Conitz worked with the Chief Justice of the Tulalip Tribal Court during her last semester of law school. One of the many projects Ms. Conitz worked on was helping the Tribal Court begin implementation of the 2013 update to the Violence Against Women Act.
