About Jeffrey French

Jeffrey A. French is a Partner with Green Bryant & French, LLP. His practice emphasizes the representation of community associations, timeshare developments and private clubs in all aspects of the law.  Also, Mr. French is experienced in representing clients in a wide variety of real estate matters and land use/development issues.  Mr. French has worked with both developers and condominium converters regarding development issues as well as helping them to set up and run community associations for their developments.

Mr. French earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History from the University of California, San Diego in 1989. In 1993, Mr. French earned his Juris Doctor degree and graduated Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. While attending Gonzaga, he was an Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review. Mr. French also earned a Masters of Law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 1994. While at the University of Washington, he was the Student Note Editor for the University of Washington Coastal Management Journal and worked for the Attorney General of Washington handling issues concerning the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

Mr. French has written numerous articles on issues relating to community associations, real estate and private clubs. Mr. French is a regular contributor to both Community Association Institute and California Association of Community Managers publications on topics relating to community associations and real estate.  In addition, Mr. French is a regular speaker on these topics for both CAI and CACM.

Mr. French is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Sate Club Association, which advocates on behalf of private clubs in California.  In addition to being a director, Mr. French chairs the Education Committee, which provides updates and education pertinent to current private club issues in California.

Mr. French is admitted to practice before all courts in the States of California and Washington as well as the Federal District Courts for the Southern District of California and Western District of Washington.
