About Joseph Hougnon
Prior to becoming a Defense Attorney, I worked for the Office of the Attorney General, State of California and the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office. I graduated from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento with the best academic record in my class in 1996. I won three awards in law school including Best Oral Argument, Best Trial Advocacy Team, and an Excellence in Academic Achievement.
For the past nineteen years, I’ve been successfully defending clients accused of a DUI in Sacramento and northern California, including Placer County, El Dorado County, Yolo County, Solano County and Yuba County. My office is located across from the main courthouse in downtown Sacramento.
I’m a successful trial lawyer and a skilled negotiator. I give my clients the personal representation they should expect from their attorney. I have a winning track record and an excellent reputation in the legal community.
I haven’t lost a jury trial in over 20 years. But, I continue to have great success negotiating settlements that are beneficial to my clients now, and into the future.
