About Mark Murphy

Mark formed The Murphy Law Firm. in 1995 after 10 years with a downtown Kansas City, Missouri law firm.  Other than a stint with a large regional law firm he has operated The Murphy Law Firm for over 25 years.  Mark obtained his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, with distinction, where he was a member and business editor of the Law Review.  He obtained his B.S. in Business, with an emphasis on finance, from Truman State University.

Mark and his wife Susan reside in Overland Park, Kansas, and are the parents of twin sons both of whom are seniors at Kansas University, and are law clerks for the firm.  Mark and Susan are the founders of It’s A Racquet, Inc., an entity hosting an annual event benefitting local charities in mental health and suicide prevention.  In Mark’s spare time, he enjoys competitive tennis (following his retirement from competitive racquetball as an E-Force sponsored player), golf, pickle ball, Sporting KC Soccer, and is an avid reader.
