About Andrew Hochberg

A resident of Richmond, MA, Andrew Hochberg started practice as a commissioned officer and attorney for the U.S. Coast Guard on Governor’s Island, N.Y., concentrating in criminal litigation. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1983 and to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1985. In 1987, he began practice in Berkshire County, eventually moving his office to North Street, Pittsfield, in 1990.

Hochberg law practice in Pittsfield has included civil and criminal trial work, personal injury cases, consumer protection and debt collection, real estate, landlord and tenant law, and domestic relations. Andrew has also represented clients in matters involving zoning, wetland protection and other areas of municipal and environmental law.

Andrew Hochberg grew up and attended schools on Long Island. He graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s degree in biology in 1971. He earned a Master’s degree in communications from the same university the following year and returned three years later to earn another Master’s degree in library science.

A Berkshire County resident since 1977, Andrew was director of the library and media center at Taconic High School from 1977 to 1981.

In 1983 he graduated with honors from Western New England College School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. Andrew Hochberg is a past president of Temple Anshe Amunim in Pittsfield, MA, former chairman of the Richmond Zoning Board of Appeals, and a member of the Berkshire County Regional Housing Authority.
