About Paul Gibson

Admiralty law is a unique legal specialty in its own right. From massive container ships delivering vital cargo to private yachts embarking on ocean voyages or an outboard runabout pulling a water skier, the practice of admiralty law applies to most maritime endeavors.

Paul Gibson is an admiralty lawyer. To successfully practice this type of law requires a highly specialized degree of education and experience. Paul Gibson has a Master of Laws degree in admiralty (LLM) from Tulane University and extensive experience from his years of practicing admiralty law. He also has been designated as a “Proctor in Admiralty” by the prestigious Maritime Law Association of the United States. In fact, Paul Gibson has one of the largest plaintiffs’ admiralty practices in the region.

An attorney’s competence in any legal specialty can easily be judged by his or her lectures to their peers or by the highest court where cases have been argued. Paul Gibson has lectured before the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute. Additionally, he has presented briefs and argued ground-breaking admiralty cases to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Court.

A dry-land attorney simply may not have all the resources required to tackle admiralty law cases. It’s always best to consider those attorneys with education and experience in this area of the law such as Paul Gibson.
