About Justin Iii

Justin joined Johnson, Peddrick & McDonald PLLC in September 2011. He practices estate administration, estate planning, guardianship, and small business law. He has a particular affinity for working with LGBTQIA individuals and non-traditional families, as well as immigrant clients, which often gives him a chance to use his Spanish skills. 
Though born in Japan, Justin is a native North Carolinian who grew up in Rockingham. He has called the Triad home since he enrolled at UNC Greensboro, where he completed a double-major in Business and French. Justin earned his J.D. at Elon University School of Law in downtown Greensboro, from which he graduated cum laude, and went on to earn an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation from the University of Florida, one of the top such programs in the United States. 

While at Elon Law, Justin practiced estate planning in the Wills Drafting Clinic and completed internships with Guilford County District Court Judge Sue Burch in her chambers in Greensboro and High Point, the Richmond County District Attorney in Rockingham, and the Mecklenburg County Public Defender in Charlotte. During his summers away from Elon Law, he studied Chinese business law in Beijing and Spanish language and culture in Madrid. 

Justin is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars, volunteers at pro bono estate planning events such as Wills for Heroes, and is an adjunct faculty member at Elon University School of Law. In addition to practicing law, Justin has served his community on the boards of the Greensboro Estate Planning Council, Benevolence Farm (a working farm that provides housing and employment to women recently released from prison), Guilford Green Foundation and the Greensboro LGBTQIA Center, and the Greensboro Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
