About Peggy Bonthius

Peggy Bonthius has been practicing business law and estate planning for over 17 years. Peggy obtained her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 1997 graduating cum laude. She was a Rosalie Wahl Moot Court competitor at William Mitchell College of Law and a Burton Legal Writing Award nominee. Since 1997 Peggy has been in private practice representing entrepreneurs, business clients, individuals and estate fiduciaries. In addition to acting as general counsel to many small businesses throughout her career she has handled business transactions ranging from simple business formations to complex mergers and acquisitions. Peggy has represented both buyers and sellers in acquisition deals and has successfully negotiated and closed several multi-million dollar asset purchase transactions. She has also represented individuals through the important estate planning process and through the difficult process of estate administration upon the death of a loved one. Peggy presented Estate Planning for Women at New York Life’s Professional Women’s Day.

In representing her clients, Peggy focuses on building strong, trust-based client relationships and individually tailored representation. Peggy’s goal is to provide high-quality, efficient representation in a cost-effective manner.

Peggy grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota prior to law school. She currently resides in Excelsior with her husband and three boys. Peggy enjoys biking, outdoor and water activities and watching all her boys play hockey!
