About Paula Callies

Paula A. Callies was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ms. Callies also lived in Montreal and Toronto, Canada and Buffalo, New York with her family during early years. She came to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and worked in that field for nine years. Always interested in our system of justice and working with people, Ms. Callies decided to become an attorney. She attended the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated with honors in 1989. She has enjoyed a successful law practice ever since!

Over the years, Ms. Callies has developed strong relationships with other attorneys and professionals. She is able to bring many personal and professional resources together to address a particular client’s legal needs.

Paula Callies believes in the strength of community. She is involved in many professional and personal volunteer endeavors. Ms. Callies is a former council member for the City of Shorewood, MN. She and her husband often work together on community projects. Some of the other activities that Ms. Callies enjoys include biking, skiing, dinner with friends, reading and theater.
