About Mark Weinhardt

In more than thirty years of practice, Mark Weinhardt has established himself as one of the leading courtroom advocates in the Midwest. In a practice divided between complex business disputes and white collar criminal cases, Mark has tried over 60 jury cases to verdict and dozens of bench trials to judgment. He has argued more than 20 appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the Iowa Supreme Court, and the Iowa Court of Appeals.

Mark is one of only six lawyers in Iowa listed as a “Band 1” commercial litigator by the international Chambers and Partners rating service. Describing him as “just as tenacious as New York, Chicago, or D.C. attorneys,” Chambers has lauded Mark as a “very direct communicator. Very creative, very smart, and very well prepared.” Mark is the only Iowan among the 500 lawyers under the age of 70 who are admitted to the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. The Thomson Reuters Business SuperLawyers rating service has, every year since 2012, listed Mark as one of the top ten attorneys in Iowa, regardless of practice specialty. Mark is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for bet-the-company litigation, commercial litigation, and white collar criminal defense. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers.
