About John Hoeschler
John G. (Jack) Hoeschler is a Twin Cities attorney whose primary professional focus is real estate development and historic preservation. Long active in civic affairs, he served for many years as president of the Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation, the public-private entity charged with reconnecting St. Paul to its historic riverfront on the Mississippi. He was also the Chairman of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake, a St. Paul suburb.
His past board affiliations include The Science Museum of Minnesota, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts, the Minnesota Humanities Commission and the Guthrie Theater, as well as Viterbo University in his hometown of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Jack graduated from Georgetown University and New York University Law School where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar. He has spent considerable time representing indigent and immigrant clients while assisting major institutions in his real estate practice. He now assists a new generation of Hmong, Somali and Vietnamese citizens in St. Paul on a wide variety of issues.
