About Maha Amircani
A Georgia native born to immigrant parents from Egypt, Maha represents clients in state and federal court litigation as well as administrative proceedings. Her practice specializes in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, and real estate closings.
Maha obtained her B.A. in International Affairs from The University of Georgia with a concentration on Human Rights. She then attended law school at Georgia State University where she graduated Cum Laude. While in law school, Maha worked with the ACLU’s Immigrant Rights and National Security Project, the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s Domestic Violence Project, and clerked for the immigration law firm Cohen and Associates. In addition to her law practice, Maha has also acted as a legislative consultant for the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
Before founding Amircani Law, Maha practiced with the firm of Parks, Chesin, & Walbert, one of Georgia’s most well respected civil rights firms. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Association for Woman Lawyers. Maha is licensed to practice in the Superior Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
Ms. Amircani lives in the West Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta with her Yorkshire Terrier, Janet. Her interests include cooking, international travel, and watching the Dawgs play football.
