About Caroline Aeed

Caroline Aeed is a Criminal Defense Attorney in Phoenix dedicating her practice to defending DUI offenses and criminal matters. Born in Phoenix and raised in Scottsdale, she is a third generation Arizonan and a second generation DUI lawyer. Ms. Aeed is a 1996 graduate from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Political Science and obtained her law degree from the University of Wyoming in 2000. During law school, she prepared and argued two cases in front of The Wyoming Supreme Court and was President of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. Upon graduation, she returned to Arizona to practice law. Ms. Aeed was a trial lawyer with the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office from 2000-2004. At MCPD she successfully managed hundreds of felony matters and was well known for her seven acquittals in a row. In 2004 Ms. Aeed started her own law practice, Aeed Law, L.L.C. Since then, she has defended hundreds of DUI cases and jury trials all over Arizona. Ms. Aeed attributes her continued success to maintaining a small practice based on referrals. By keeping it small, she is able to connect with each client individually. Her success in trial practice stems from her expertise in studying patterns of errors in the various crime labs, focus on the individual criminalist’s pattern of lab errors, errors in officer phlebotomy, expertise in traffic stops and GPS/AVL analysis. Nicknamed the “jury whisperer”, her art of simplifying forensic alcohol evidence and pinpointing errors in the investigation continues to boost her acquittal record. When she is not in a courtroom, Ms. Aeed is traveling somewhere in the world with her family. Ms. Aeed is married to Mark Southam and they have a daughter, Marlo, a Freshman in high school.
