About Jeffrey Jackson

Kincaid is the Managing Member of the Baton Rouge Office and head of the firm’s transaction and real estate sections. Kincaid’s 15 year transaction practice has exposed him to all aspects of commercial transactions for a broad variety of industries including commercial real estate and development, construction, ship construction, and broad line food distribution. Kincaid assists clients with a wide spectrum of needs including third party contracts of all types, employee matters and development/enforcement of internal policies, inlcuding facility policies and procedures. Kincaid has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, distribution agreements, master service agreements (with customers and sub-contractors), terms and conditions, construction contracts, vessel construction (and repair) contracts, vessel boarding agreements and indemnity matters. Kincaid also addresses organizational/corporate issues and business association structuring including company formation, operating agreements/by-laws, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions. Kincaid has often been called upon to meet any and all contract needs of the clients in all aspects of their business.

Kincaid is a licensed title insurance producer. His commercial real estate practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate and development, including commercial acquisitions/sale; 1031 exchanges; loans; residential, commercial, retail and mini-storage leases; condominium plans; condominium/apartment conversion; home owner association formation, rules, enforcement and developer defense. Kincaid is typically the closing counsel in charge of effectuating client closings of all types. Kincaid represents borrowers in their commercial lending relationships and loan closings and acts as lead borrower counsel on Commercial Mortgage Back Securities closings and Defeasance matters.

Kincaid is from Baton Rouge, graduating from Episcopal High School  before obtaining a B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1998 where he was a recipient of the SMU Alumni Scholarship, and his JD from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2000 where he was a recipient of the Class of 1931 Hebert Scholarship.
