About Megan Valentine

After graduating from Cornell Law School in Ithaca, New York in 2004, Megan worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at the Grays Harbor County Prosecutor’s Office for seven years.  She left public practice and began working in the private sector as an associate with Ingram, Zelasko & Goodwin in Aberdeen, Washington.  Shortly thereafter she opened Valentine Law Office, PS where she has worked to provide excellent legal services to our community.  Over the past eight years Megan has been privileged to represent parents in Dependency and Termination cases, children in Dependency and Termination cases, and helped her community members with their estate planning, establishing guardianships, completing adoptions, finalizing dissolutions, completing simple real estate transactions. 

In 2019 Megan was certified by the National Association of Counsel for Children as a Child Welfare Law Specialist.  The Washington State Supreme Court does not reqiurie or recognize specialties in areas of law, but the process of training, applying and completing the exam has helped Megan develop in depth knowledge in the area of child welfare law.

Megan resides in Montesano with her husband, two daughters and two dogs.  She enjoys traveling the world, trying new foods and learning about history.
