About Caroline Tomeny

Caroline M. Tomeny is a partner and joined the firm in 2011. Caroline practices in the area of general civil litigation, with a focus on employment law, administrative law, civil rights defense, and personal injury defense. She provides counsel to employers in personnel matters and in the preparation of employee policies and procedures, as well as guidance on compliance with state and federal employment laws. She has conducted workplace investigations and has represented state agencies in employment-related litigation in state and federal court. Additionally, Caroline has served as a prosecutor for the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and has represented the agency in judicial reviews. She has defended state officials and agencies in civil rights actions in federal court, including in the area of prisoner litigation. Caroline is also experienced in class action litigation, Public Bid Law, Public Records Act, estate planning, successions, construction law, insurance defense, business entity formation and governance, and homeowners’ associations.
