About Fatisha Martinez

Fatisha Martinez supports attorneys who fight for the rights of employees in discrimination and retaliation cases, whistleblower investigations, wage and hour disputes, and the negotiation of executive employment agreements and severance packages.

Fatisha has always had a passion for working on the right side of the law. She joined Buckley Beal in 2012 and works closely with the firm’s managing partner, Ed Buckley, for whom she serves as a liaison with clients, attorneys, courts and the media. Fatisha also provides administrative and legal support to other attorneys at the firm, including electronic filing and case management; assisting with drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery; and the day-to-day administrative needs of the firm. Fatisha also works with the nonprofit organization Water Life Hope, founded by Ed Buckley, which provides clean water to the people of Haiti.

Prior to working at the firm, Fatisha’s professional experience focused on the protection and promotion of individual rights. She worked as a paralegal for two major Atlanta law firms with a concentration in medical malpractice, personal injury and worker’s compensation. She also worked as a lobbyist and legislative assistant at the Trenton, New Jersey offices of The Marcus Group, Inc.

Fatisha is a cum laude graduate of Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey with a major in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. She received her paralegal certificate from the University of Georgia Center for Legal Studies where she graduated second in her class.

Fatisha is a New Jersey native and moved to the Atlanta area in 2003. She lives in Gwinnett County with her husband and two sons. She enjoys listening to music, serving as a hostess to dance parties at home with her two sons, spending time with her family, thinking about how to solve the problems of the world, and reading about domestic and international politics.
