About Christopher Setaro

Chris’ advocacy for employee rights began after he graduated from law school when he served as Director of Research and Counsel for Carpenters’ Local 210. Chris was involved in complaints brought before the National Labor Relations Board and arbitration issues before the State Board of Labor Relations. He also worked for the United Mine Workers’ International Union, Office of the General Counsel and the National Labor Relations Board, Division of Regional Advice. In addition, Chris represented the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 1622 in grievance proceedings and negotiated two successful collective bargaining agreements.

Chris has built a respected workers’ compensation practice over the course of his career. He was a partner in a prominent personal injury law firm for 23 years focusing in workers’ rights. In 2016, Chris founded the Setaro Law Firm, emphasizing protecting employee rights and representing injured workers. He is a tireless advocate for workplace justice, bringing years of experience, sound advice and guidance to those he represents.

Chris’ drive, integrity and creativity are consistently demonstrated by his tireless efforts on behalf of the civic and charitable organizations where he devotes his time. He is a longstanding member of the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge, the Portuguese Cultural Center, the Danbury Elk’s Lodge and St. Peter’s Church in Danbury, CT. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Savings Bank of Danbury. Chris’ dedication to community service has been recognized with two Community Service Awards from the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge; and the Distinguished Service Award from the Danbury Jaycees. He is a former member of: Board of Directors, American Cancer Society; the Hispanic Center of Greater Danbury; and the Danbury Jaycees.

Chris grew up in Danbury, Connecticut. He attended and graduated from University of Connecticut and then the Catholic University School of Law. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1990 and has practiced law in his home state of Connecticut since then.
