About Dennis Minichello

Dennis, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from Ohio University and then went on to earn his law degree from Northwestern University after a yearlong stay in Italy as a Fulbright Scholar. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1978 and practices before all Illinois courts and Federal Courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and District courts in Illinois, Indiana and other states.

During his career, Dennis has participated in numerous professional organizations including the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association (Chair, Transportation Law Committee, 1993-94); Illinois State Bar Association (Chair, Admiralty and Maritime Law Section Council, 1993-94); Propeller Club, Port of Chicago (President 1983-84, 1994-95, Regional Vice President, 1985-1986); Maritime Law Association of the United States (Proctor since 1991; Board of Directors, 2010-2013; Chair, Arrangements Committee 2007; Chair, Marine Ecology and Maritime Criminal Law Committee, 2008-2010); past President, Midwest High Speed Rail Coalition; Transportation Lawyers Association; Association for Transportation Law, Logistics and Policy; Conference of Freight Counsel; Board Member, Ohio University Alumni Association (2005-2010) and Chair, 2008-2010. He is also the author of numerous articles and books and has been a presenter at many professional and business seminars.
