About Akeem Soboyede
Prior to attending Law School in the United States, Akeem Soboyede worked as a successful journalist and university teacher in Nigeria. While attending Law School in the United States between 2003 and 2006, he worked variously as a paid Summer Law Clerk with the Hennepin County Public Defenders Office (May to July 2004); the Minneapolis City Attorneys Office (May 2005 to April 2006) and as Judicial Extern with a Judge of the Hennepin County District Court (August to November 2004). Since graduating from Law School in May 2006 and taking and passing the Minnesota State Bar examination the same year, Soboyede has represented clients on Immigration, Employment, Real Estate and other legal matters. Many of such representations have included Affirmative Asylum applications filed on clients’ behalf before the United States’ Immigration and Naturalization Service (USCIS); defense in Removal cases before the US Immigration Court and the US 8th Circuit Court of Appeals; employment and wrongful termination briefs before the EEOC and City and State Departments of Human Rights in Minnesota, US and assisting persons with their defense regarding complaints filed against them before professional licensing bodies.
