About Arthur O’keefe
For more than thirty years, Arthur continues to help and represent people of every age, status and background with personal injury as well as other litigation cases. Following this vocation, Arthur has appeared in the Louisiana Supreme Court, in all of the Louisiana appellate courts and in the district courts of almost every Louisiana parish. The subject matter of his cases have included: admiralty, maritime and offshore incidents and collisions; work place, industrial and employee related injuries; injuries resulting from slips, trips and falls, as well as, the use or occupation of homes, buildings, land or other premises; automobile collision matters; and injuries associated with the operation or use of heavy equipment.
Born and educated through high school in New Orleans, he is the great, great, grandson of Irish and German immigrants. In 1968-69, while attending the United States Merchant Marine Academy, he served as a cadet on U.S. merchant ships carrying military hardware and cargo to the Vietnam war zone as well as other ports in southeast Asia, Korea and the west coast of Africa. Arthur and his wife, Mary Allyce Walters, have been married for over forty years and have three grown children, a son and twin daughters. Lake Charles, Louisiana has been their home since August of 2005.
