About Ellen Wright

Attorney Ellen Wright became a Massachusetts Attorney in 2009 and was admitted to practice in New Hampshire in 2016. She has focused her practice primarily in domestic relations and family law as well as bankruptcy. Attorney Wright became a certified family court mediator in 2013 and takes great satisfaction assisting families in financial and emotional crisis. Attorney Wright has volunteered extensively in the family court serving as a conciliator as well as lawyer for the day. Attorney Wright was appointed to the Tewksbury Hospital Board of Trustees in by Governor Baker in 2017. She resides in Lowell with her two children, two cats and a Great Dane.

Since 2009, Ellen has been practicing law, and has been running her own domestic relations law firm for the better part of the last decade. Now, she is expanding her work into the realm of personal and family coaching. By offering workshops and personal counseling, Ellen hopes to encourage and guide families undergoing stressful times of personal transition.

The realm of family law can be heart-breaking and can have personal and financial repercussions that can leave individuals and families paralyzed with fear. Over time, Ellen was left asking herself how she could do more to help and support people using the wisdom garnered from her own experience. As an unwed mother, recovered alcoholic and victim of domestic violence, Ellen has learned how to navigate the intricacies of family court on a deeply personal level.

Ellen wanted somehow to provide those in need the kind of help she did not have access to and to use her broken past to provide light to those in need of hope and encouragement. Ellen decided to use her education and experience to develop a framework that can serve as an invaluable roadmap for people who would not otherwise have access to.

Though a daunting prospect for anyone, Ellen has never been one to be kept down by adversity. Thus, the Wright Family Law Academy™ came to life. Ellen’s ethos is simple: “Your choices must demonstrate that you love your children more than you dislike the other parent.”

Divorce and separation and be messy and there aren’t any easy answers. Born from her own experiences, Ellen’s workshops, counseling, and support groups focus on the intricacies of traditional and blended family dynamics, as well as challenges that can go along with co-parenting and communication.

Ellen’s goal is simple: to offer hope, compassion, and support those who are most in need as they learn to navigate life’s most difficult situations.
