About Ronald Dessy

Ronald Dessy is a first generation American, whose father was Hungarian and mother was German. They emigrated to America in the 1930’s and settled in the Los Angeles area. Ron graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1970. He did his undergraduate studies at Santa Monica Junior College, the University of Southern California, and through the University of the Air Force.

Ron spent 4 years’ active duty in Air Force intelligence during the Vietnam War. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1979 from the University of San Fernando Valley, College of Law, where he met his wife, Fawn. After graduating from law school, Ron and Fawn moved to Bakersfield, where they were married in 1980.

Ron has practiced law in Bakersfield since 1980, with an initial focus on criminal law and family law. With the merger of his practice with that of his wife, his practice has focused on real estate and business litigation, and transactional matters. Ron is a member of the California Bar Association and the Kern County Bar Association, has served as a Judge Pro Tem for over 15 years, and is a arbitrator for the Kern County Bar Association in connection with fee disputes.

In his time out of the office, Ron enjoys traveling, particularly on cruises, recreational flying, gardening, reading, and riding his horse, Jake. Ron and Fawn reside on their small ranch in Hart Flat with their horses, mule, cows, chickens and dogs.
