About Brian Peters, Jr.

Brian is an Associate at the firm’s Spartanburg office, practicing in the areas of construction litigation, professional negligence defense, and general litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Brian practiced in Miami, Florida at a regional civil defense firm, defending clients in premises liability cases in both state and federal courts.

In 2018, Brian graduated from Messiah University—located in his hometown of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania—with a B.A. in History and Spanish with a minor in Art History. At Messiah, Brian studied abroad for a semester in Granada, Spain. In 2021, Brian graduated from Florida International University College of Law in Miami, Florida. At FIU Law, Brian served as a Research Assistant for Constitutional Law Professor Thomas E. Baker, was an Articles & Comments Editor for the FIU Law Review, and participated on the Moot Court team. Brian received CALI Awards in Constitutional Law and in the seminar course: Law, Business & Politics in Latin America. Additionally, Brian had the privilege of interning with the Honorable Kathleen M. Williams of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida as well as the Honorable Adalberto Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

After a year of living in the Miami neighborhood of Little Havana, Brian and his wife, Olivia, moved to Olivia’s hometown of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Brian and Olivia enjoy spending time with family, reading, cooking together, and entertaining their dogs, Arthur and Sandy.
