About John Rottier
John Rottier has been practicing law for about a decade. He is licensed by the state of Illinois and the state of Indiana as well as in federal court for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana, and Southern District of Indiana. He speaks English, Spanish, German and some Chinese and French. He is originally from Northwest Indiana, currently lives in Chicago and has lived abroad in Spain, Germany, Mexico, and Taiwan. His spouse is an immigrant and has personally gone through the immigration process as both spouse and attorney, so John can personally relate with what you are going through on your case.
Besides being passionate about immigrants and immigration law at work, he is also very involved with the community on these issues. He is on the board of the directors for nonprofit Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors, which is a faith-driven ministry of the United Methodist Church. In addition to being on the board of directors, he is also the volunteer coordinator for Justice For Our Neighbor’s Chicago legal clinic. He also volunteers with World Relief’s Good Neighbor Program, which helps support a new refugee family throughout their resettlement journey in the USA. He is also involved in different immigration ministries at Urban Village Church, where he is an active member.
