About Yolanda Smith-Williams

The Smith Williams Law Firm’s owner, Yolanda Smith-Williams, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina A&T State University in Political Science with a minor in English. She received her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While in law school, Yolanda gained valuable legal work experience by working with a Circuit Court Judge. This was the start of her experience in working in the area of Family Law. She later received a highly sought after internship with the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office. In this position, Yolanda assisted in prosecuting individuals charged with felonies and misdemeanors. Separate from her experience with prosecuting adults, she worked with juveniles in Truancy court. The work experiences that she gained while in law school set the stage for her current areas of practice.

Attorney Smith-Williams provides professionalism and personality to the firm while aggressively fighting to protect clients’ best interests. She provides practical solutions to our clients’ legal matters in a timely and efficient manner. She is a dynamic lawyer who works with a diverse client base. As a hard-working lawyer, she has the knowledge and commitment it takes to satisfy the needs of the firm’s clients.

Attorney Smith-Williams is admitted to practice in the State and Superior Courts of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.

Attorney Smith-Williams is also a trained mediator with the State of Georgia. As a mediator, she serves as a third party neutral to assist parties in resolving their disputes.

At The Smith Williams Law, we realize that our obligations extend not only to our clients but to our community. We give generously of our time and expertise in order to give back to the community in which we live and work. Yolanda has also dedicated her time to Sister to Sister Mentoring Program. This program provides mentors to at-risk teen girls who are in the juvenile court system for either being truant or having committed other non-violent offenses. Attorney Smith-Williams is also actively involved in a number of other professional and civic organizations.
