About Scott Baron

Mr. Baron handles complex litigation matters and regularly represents clients in all types of commercial disputes and highly complex transactions throughout the country. Mr. Baron is frequently retained in high-stakes or “bet your company” matters where anything short of total victory is not an option. Mr. Baron is admitted to the state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits. He is also often admitted pro hac vice in significant cases from other jurisdictions.
Prior to co-founding Baron Samson LLP in 2007, Mr. Baron was affiliated with one of New Jersey’s largest and most highly regarded law firms, where he became the youngest partner in the firm at age 30 and, ultimately, one of the managing partners of the firm. Prior thereto, Mr. Baron was associated with a Manhattan-based law firm perennially ranked as the most prestigious and profitable firm in the country, where Mr. Baron worked on some of the largest mergers and acquisitions in the world as well as high-stakes, high profile litigation.

Mr. Baron received his bachelor’s degree in business and finance with highest honors from Rutgers University graduating with a perfect 4.0 grade point average which earned him a share of Class Valedictorian honors. He received his law degree cum laude from New York University School of Law, consistently ranked as one of the elite law schools in the country, currently tied with Harvard Law School in the U.S. News & World Report Law School Rankings. Prior to attending NYU, he spent his first year of law school at Seton Hall University School of Law, where he finished first in his class of nearly 350 students.

Mr. Baron consistently earns the highest possible rating (“AV”) by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also consistently selected for annual inclusion in the following publications: New Jersey Superlawyers, Best Lawyers in America, New Jersey’s Top Rated Lawyers, New York’s Best Lawyers, New York’s Top Rated Lawyers and Best Lawyers in New York City. Earlier in his career, he was featured in the New Jersey Law Journal as one of top 40 attorneys in New Jersey under the age of 40 and was the recipient of New Jersey State Bar Association’s “Young Lawyer of the Year” award.

Mr. Baron is also involved in multiple entrepreneurial ventures including real estate development and technology start-up companies. He is also an aficionado and avid collector of exotic sports cars and hypercars as well as rare and vintage sports trading cards and memorabilia. In his spare time he enjoys nothing more than spending time with his amazing and most prized possessions, his children Ava and Jake.
