About Lawrence Klayman

Lawrence L. Klayman, Esq. is the managing and founding partner of KlaymanToskes. Mr. Klayman was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and is a second generation lawyer. He is a former securities broker and has spent decades applying his experience gained on Wall Street, representing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth investors, as well as broker-dealers, institutions, and family offices throughout the United States and internationally.

Mr. Klayman received his Economics degree from New York University and his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. He has recovered over a quarter of a billion dollars for aggrieved investors, and has litigated cases before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”), AAA, JAMS, and state and federal court.

Prior to founding KlaymanToskes, Mr. Klayman worked for a major securities arbitration defense firm and also received firsthand experience at the National Association of Securities Dealers (“NASD”), the predecessor of FINRA, in the arbitration department. He attributes his success to his experience of representing clients on both sides of the securities industry, in addition to his previous role as a financial advisor, which commands Wall Street’s earnest attention during negotiation proceedings.

Mr. Klayman is frequently quoted in many national and local press publications regarding securities related news, including: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s, Dow Jones Newswires, On Wall Street, Money Magazine, Investment News, BizWatch, The Palm Beach Post, and others.
