About Andrew Levchuk
My practice focuses on cybersecurity, criminal defense, and civil litigation. Before returning to private practice, I spent 24 years at the U.S. Department of Justice, where I was lead counsel in federal jury trials in districts across the country. I served for 11 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, and for four years as Senior Trial Attorney in the Public Integrity Section. I also argued 30 cases in the United States Courts of Appeals and assisted in preparing U.S. Supreme Court briefs. See Taylor v. United States, 495 U.S. 575 (1990), and Thornburgh v. Abbott, 490 U.S. 401 (1989).
I advise clients on cyber security, data protection and privacy rights. During my Justice Department tenure I served as Senior Counsel at the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. I am a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a GIAC Information Security Professional, and I am a member of the American Bar Association’s Science and Technology Section’s Privacy and Computer Crime Committee.
