About Scott Kaliko

Mr. Kaliko has also served as first chair in several IP litigations covering patent, copyright, and trademark matters. His practice focuses on intellectual property protection, including strategic counseling, patent, copyright, and trademark prosecution, and enforcement of patents, copyrights, and trademarks. With a background in electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology, he works with the Firm’s clients in the medical device, mechanical device, design patents, and related fields for clients such as Honeywell, Siemens, and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Mr. Kaliko handles transactional corporate and intellectual property matters, including licensing, intellectual property due diligence, non-disclosure agreements, and intellectual property provisions of contracts.

Mr. Kaliko also adds a unique talent to his intellectual property practice as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a subject matter expert in the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering compliance for banks, broker dealers, and registered investment advisers where he has provided counsel to Bain Capital, First Southwest Broker Dealer, Banamex (subsidiary of Citibank), LPL Financial, and Aladdin Capital just to name a few. His Risk and Regulatory work surrounds AML, OFAC sanctions screening, writing policies and procedures, transaction testing, and training.

Mr. Kaliko is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, the District of New Jersey, and is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of the State of New York in Albany.
