About Wayne Hadler

Wayne R. Hadler has been the principal owner of Beemer, Hadler & Willett, P.A. since the retirement of Charles G. Beemer in June, 1996.
Mr. Hadler specializes in residential and commercial real estate, working with consumer clients, developers, builders, lending institutions and government agencies. He has complex knowledge of the purchase and sale of real property transactions including the details of real property title, contracting, loan documents, title insurance, government zoning regulations and the development approval process with regulatory officials. His secondary practice areas are small business, wills, trusts and competency proceedings. Mr. Hadler has also been active for many years within the Orange County court system providing Guardian ad Litem services for indigent respondents.

Mr. Hadler graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami in 1975 with undergraduate (A.B.) degrees in Psychology and Sociology. A year later, he received a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Hadler then went on to receive his J.D. from North Carolina Central University in 1988. He was admitted to the North Carolina Bar that same year. Mr. Hadler is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court, North Carolina Eastern, Middle and Western Districts as well as the United States Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit.
Mr. Hadler enjoys working with people from all walks of life and building relationships with his clients. His background as a clinical social worker provides a basis for his practitioner style. From 1977 to 1989, he was employed by the Alamance-Casewell Mental Health Center in Burlington, North Carolina and during his tenure, worked as a substance abuse social worker, clinical social worker and served as the Director of Adult Services for the agency prior to entering into the practice of law. During the 1990s, he was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina School of Social Work, where he taught Social Work and the Law.

Mr. Hadler has enjoyed serving on various Boards during his years of law practice. From 1990 through 1996, he served on the Chapel Hill Planning Board, becoming Chairperson in 1994. He also served on the Board of the OPC Foundation of Mental Health, Inc. in its formative years, working to establish the organization’s structure. More recently, Mr. Hadler has served on the Community Housing Alternatives, Inc. Board. He has been an active member of Judea Reform Congregation, serving on its Board for many years. He also served years on the Board for the North Carolina Hillel.
Mr. Hadler resides in Carrboro with his wife, Kate, and their dog, Daisy. He has four children: Jessica, Michael, Marissa and Asher. Mr. Hadler is a recreational runner and is often seen running around town on the trails or at local running events. He enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
