About Stephen Marcus
Mr. Marcus received his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1970, where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Harvard Law Review. Mr. Marcus also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) in 1967, where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Xi Honor Societies.
Mr. Marcus has more than 45 years of experience in handling complex litigation, including the fields of business and healthcare. He was formerly a partner at Frandzel & Share and was co-manager of Frandzel & Share’s Litigation Practice Group. He was the prevailing attorney in several reported appellate decisions, including Admiralty Fund v. Jones, 750 F.2d 1289; Admiralty Fund v. Peerless Insurance Company, 143 Cal.App.3d 379; and Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. v. Charlton, 17 Cal.App.4th 1066. Mr. Marcus is Co-Chairman and a volunteer arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Service and was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in California.
Mr. Marcus has been trained as a mediator at the Strauss Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University and, as a neutral mediator, has successfully assisted litigants in settling numerous cases.
